As a long-time member of #TeamSG, I was very excited to start working with our readers one-on-one through our personal shopping program. It felt like a natural transition to tailor my past men’s styling experience from my “5 Days, 5 Ways” column to helping real guys get dressed for everything from work and weddings to date nights and garden parties. Each client gets a personalized presentation complete with a style assessment, shopping list and styling tips for how to wear their new pieces IRL.

Personal Styling

I originally joined the Anthro family to help women have as much fun getting dressed as I do. I grew from Jr. Personal Stylist to Senior, and eventually to the Selling Manager.

As Selling Manager, I was the brand liaison between the store experience and our corporate office, onboarding "home office" new hires and communicating fit session and real customer feedback to the in-house design and personal styling teams. I also managed our in-store personal styling team, as well as a team of 10 category specialists

Event Planning

As Personal Stylist, and later as Selling Manager, I worked to create the local, familial feel of a boutique out the flagship location of an international women's retailer. Our in-store events were a way to share our brand and beliefs with our customer.

With 3 events per season, we covered all aspects of her interests; from the annual fashion shows and weekly wine and cheese styling sessions to the complimentary yoga classes and pet adoption drives, I made sure our customers recognized our store as a contributing member of the community. I partnered with several local businesses for our in-store events, including but not limited to Baba's Kombucha, the Philadelphia PSPCA, Barre3, and the Junior League of Philadelphia.

Instagramming

As a personal stylist, I managed our store's personal styling Instagram account, @TuesdaysinParis. When the company initiative switched to store based accounts, I planned, styled and scheduled posts for @anthro_rittenhouse, now renamed @anthro_philadelphia.

As a women's apparel associate, I maintain a regular book of local clients. Our team communicates directly with buyers to continually improve our apparel, footwear, and accessories assortment. I assist with merchandising needs as necessary. 


SUMMER STUDIO

Filled with jewelry, beauty products, art and apparel from local artisans, Summer Studio is a favorite shopping destination of beach-bound bohemians in Avalon, New Jersey. In addition to retail, the shop also hosts art classes throughout the summer. 

I developed Summer Studio's identity in the digital space by creating a Shopify retail site, Facebook business page, Instagram, and Tumblr. I also styled and directed the seasonal look books for the summers of 2013 and 2014, shown at right.
